Connor walked on silent feet across the rooftop before he carefully climbed over the side and dropped onto a window ledge. It wasn't a particularly wide ledge and it was made even smaller when Connor crouched down and fiddled with the latch. The window swung open easily and Connor slipped inside. It was the cool night air that followed Connor into the room that woke the room's sleeping occupant. Kyle Rayner blinked groggily at him before he tossed the bed sheets aside. There was a flash of green as Kyle used his ring, but Connor was already moving, he easily dodged Kyle's the hastily cobbled together projection, and fit an arrow into his bow. The arrow flew true and pinned the fabric of Kyle's pajamas to the bed, forcing Kyle onto his back. The artist made a startled noise and reached to grab the arrow and jerk at it, surprised.
It gave Connor the advantage, he pinned Kyle's hands above his head and the leaned forward to capture his prey's mouth in a kiss.
Kyle was a Green Lantern, one of the so called 'heroes' that kept the world safe. Connor himself knew his father was a 'hero', from what Connor knew Oliver Queen was also Green Arrow. But Connor had never met the man and could not assign 'good' or 'evil' qualities to him. He did know that Oliver had set aside money for Connor, even if he had wanted nothing to do with Connor's life. When Connor was younger he had sought inner peace at a monastery, it had been there that he had been scouted by the master of archery that Connor had eventually overcome.
"Good morning, Kyle."
Kyle's eyes were the most beautiful green Connor had ever seen and they flared, bright with anger, at Connor's greeting. A body untrained to fighting bucked against Connor's, instinct teaching Kyle little on how to dislodge a trained opponent. "I have a guest." Kyle hissed.
Connor placed a kiss on Kyle's lips, soft and sweet, with just enough pressure to get Kyle to open up his mouth. At first he lay with his mouth shut but after a few seconds Kyle submitted to Connor's kiss.
"I know." Connor's smile was still soft, not dangerous at all. "Jennie, correct? Formerly 'Jade'?"
"H-" The kiss this time was more of a struggle, Kyle pushed at Connor's shoulders until Connor pulled back. "Don't hurt her."
"I wouldn't do that, Kyle." Connor shook his head slightly but sat back on his heels, crouched in Kyle's bed like a spider, and allowed Kyle to pull the arrow out of his shoulder and sit up. "I'm not a murderer."
"You're an assassin." Kyle huffed. "Excuse me for not knowing the difference."
Kyle's cheek was warm under the touch of Connor's hand and the super hero stared belligerently at Connor. It softened the longer Connor stared into Kyle's eyes. Eventually Kyle turned his head and kissed Connor's palm. "Not tonight."
Connor nodded his ascent. "Not tonight."
