kat8chaIt's come to Kon's attentions that Bat's have a tendency to need people. Not that they'd admit it, part of the point of being battish was hiding your needs. Or at least that was how Kon saw it.
Batman needed a Robin, or at least that's what Tim had said, but it was becoming clear to Kon that Bats needed Supers. Like, Batgirl had been pretty close with Supergirl, and then Kon'd felt like he and Cass were pretty close, and then Kara was pretty chummy with the new Batgirl…
And Superman had always been at Batman's side whenever he needed him, or at Batman's back if he needed, well, back up.
So. Kon wouldn't say 'I'll be the Superman to your Batman' to Tim, because he knew how much Tim never, ever, ever wanted to be Batman. And he couldn't just say 'I'll be your Superman' because Tim would think he was quoting a song or something, but the thought was there. You know. Unspoken.
...but some things were meant to be said aloud.
"Hey, superhero in the gimp suit!" Kon snagged Tim under his arms and pulled him up in the air. "Would you think I was being schmoopy if I said I'd be the Super Boy to your Boy Wonder?"
