He sat with his back to the wall, his knees drawn up to his chest and his arms holding them tightly against his chest. Otoya dug his chin into his knees, his eyes locked on the door. There was a cot in the room, with a pillow and a few blankets. There was nothing else in the room. It was not a cell, Otoya wasn't being 'held captive'. Except for the fact that he totally was.
"You are my son," The foreign looking man with penetrating eyes and long brown hair said. Otoya had been shaking, held up by his kidnappers to this strange man they called their leader. "L, for the lost lamb, now returned to the fold."
The door was not locked, but when Otoya had opened it there had been two cult worshipers standing outside. Otoya knew cult worshipers when he saw them, his grandfather had told him about cults, his mother had warned him… before he had been taken away from her. Otoya had been introduced to his other 'brothers' men who looked more like the leader than like Otoya. Otoya had not met 'J' or 'K', but he was told that they would meet him soon.
Otoya wanted to go home. He wanted to go back to his mother's house, hide away in a dark room with her. He wanted to go to his grandfather's house and be surrounded by a million faceless but familiar men and women. Otoya just wanted to go home.
The door creaked open, and Otoya wrapped his arms tighter around his knees. He should defend himself, but there was nothingin the room he could use as a weapon. The pillow, maybe, or parts of the bed if broke it up.
A young boy slipped into the room and shut the door behind him. He smiled at Otoya, his hair was the same color, his eyes shaped like Otoya's mother's. The boy's smile looked like Otoya's did when he had just been handed a present. The boy walked over, and sat on the floor in front of Otoya.
Otoya waited.
"Hi." The boy said. He waited. "I'm J."
Otoya blinked. So he was one of the others? "I'm Kujo Otoya."
J smiled wider. "I know, big brother."
