kat8chaSo last night my internet cut out on me (as it is wont to do) but it cut out on me in a REALLY WEIRD WAY.
First off, it kicked me off AIM. And I'm like 'do de do... oh it's not reconnecting. Hmm. :|' so I checked to make sure webpages were loading. Well hotmail loaded just fine...
But it wouldn't load Livejournal. Not. At. All. D:
It loaded GOOGLE, and Poupee, but it wouldn't load any AIM pages, or the Trillian download. It opened up Y!M just fine...
Was strange.
ANYWAY. Also had an interesting dream last night. We're going to call my dream 'Counting Down from 29' because it continued to develop in my brain after I woke up.
So in my dream... we're going to call the protagonist Elle. Elle was a businesswoman of some kind, I couldn't quite be sure what. She was assigned to work on some sort of team, and her superior on the team (who had nothing to do with her regular job) found himself hated. Elle really, really hated the guy. But in the typical romance movie way of 'I hate you because you tell me what I already know, and you point out my faults, and you're so damn attractive'. Anyway, she had a cellphone (that looked suspiciously like my little sister's EnV2) and she put 'Dick' on the guy's contact slip. For some reason, he liked to send her text messages.
Anyway, she spends some time with her Dad (I have no idea where Mom was in my dream, but not in the house) and then some time with her 8 year old daughter. Said daughter is the product of a divorce, and lives with Elle. Elle's sister is a Divorce Lawyer, and kind of berates Elle about the amount of time she doesn't spend with her daughter.
Eventually Elle and 'Dick' become antagonistic friends. They totally act like the Mom and Dad of the group, and when this gets pointed out Elle, for some reason, changes the contact info from 'Dick' to 'Dad'. (Her own dad is listed under PaPa I think. Anyway, things happen, the group I think completes their project and 'Dick' gets sent out of town. (He has no name >>) Elle ends up overworking herself, getting sick, refuses to listen to people, and ends up breaking her leg and getting put into the hospital somehow. (Car accident? Was not sure) At the time it happened 'Dick' was sending her text messages about what he was doing out of town. He gets worried she's not responding, and her daughter who has the cellphone after they get to the hospital reads the messages b/c 'hey, they're marked Dad, I thought they might be Grandpa' and kind of hoped they were her own father. Anyway, she sends him a text about Elle being in the hospital...
Elle comes to, and talks to her sister and her daughter. She gets kind of upset when she realizes her daughter was reading the txts from 'Dick' and scolds her about talking to people she doesn't konw. Even if they're on her phone. And it was txting.
Then she fusses because they told him where she was...
And he shows up. :D
And then I woke up.
