kat8chaGinshuu stood on one side of the barrier, and Bonten on the other.
“I guess this is goodbye, Princess.” Ginshuu smilled, tipping his head to the side. The smile made Bonten grit his teeth in displeasure. It was Ginshuu’s typical empty headed smile, and it neatly hid the pain and had won knowledge in Ginshuu’s eyes. Bonten still thought Ginshuu was an idiot, but he knew now that underestimating Ginshuu could kill him.
“It’s not really good bye. We’re not actually on opposite sides.”
Bonten reached up, the barrier sparking when he touched it. It hurt badly, and Bonten gritted his teeth to stay in place. “You killed Byakuroku, and even if you don’t think we’re on opposite sides, we are.” Bonten dropped his hand. “If you took a step ouside of that barrier I would kill you.
Ginshuu heard the hurried footsteps of his ever vigilant attendants. “I guess it’s just as well then that I’m not going to step outside the barrier.”
