Kai had to admit that if there was one cool thing about the hotel Higa was staying at it was the satellite TV.

Kai’s parents thought he should spend his time training or reading books, not sitting around watching pointless drama’s or anime. When Kai had been younger he’d gone to Rin’s to watch stuff, but ever since last year Rin and Kai had been hanging out less. Kai was pretty sure it was because of the competition involved between Kai and Rin on the team. Rin was their ‘genius’ so to speak, but Kai was the vice captain and singles 2.

 

“Hey.” A cold bottle was pressed against the side of his head and Kai turned, glancing up at Rin. “Thirsty?”

 

“Not really.” Kai took the bottle of ramune soda anyway. “Kite still pissed about me blowing the BBQ competition?”

 

“Is he ever!” Rin laughed and flopped down next to Kai. “He’ll probably track you down soon enough you know, and then he’s gonna kick your ass.”

 

“Yeah, well,” Kai rolled the ramune bottle between his hands before stripping off the plastic. “The last place he’d look for me is my hotel room.”

 

Rin nodded, and Kai was too busy getting ready to open his ramune bottle to notice the blond scooting away. As he pressed the marble down into the bottle there was a loud hiss as the ramun soda exploded all over Kai.

 

“You bastard!” Kai placed the half empty bottle down and launched at the swiftly fleeing Rin.
