Rin lashed out at Kai, unsurprised when his fist was blocked, it was why he was sweeping his foot under Kai’s legs at the same time. Kai went down and Rin pinned him easily, winning the match. Helping Kai to his feet Rin grinned.
“That’s 24 wins for me… and 13 for you.” Kai rolled his eyes, stretching his arms over his head.
“Whatever, I still beat you in tennis.”
“Tennis doesn’t mean anything.” The minute he said it Rin braced himself; Kite was no doubt standing right behind him.
“Doesn’t mean anything Hirakoba-kun?” Kite’s voice rolled down Rin’s spine in a way Rin usually felt in nightmares. Well, nightmares and when Kite stood behind him and did that looming thing. The looming thing was creepy.
“Eishirou!” Rin jumped and hid behind Kai. Kai snickered at his obvious cowardice but did not try to push him in front. “How long have you been standing there?”
Kite pushed his glasses up with his forefinger causing them to glint in the dojo’s lighting. “Since ’24 wins for me’.”
Rin gulped, his adam’s apple bobbing. “Just. No gouya? Please?”
“That depends on how well you do.” Kite smiled. “Join me on the tennis courts in five minutes.”
