It's not true that Kasuka is emotionless. He may appear to be so, even when delivering those oh-so-embarrassing lines of his onscreen, but he is not. As Ruri grows closer and closer to this monster who wishes to be human she can see the cracks in Kasuka's mask, the slight smiles, the downward glances, the barely there frown, the minute crinkle in his forehead.
He is at his most expressive during sex.
It takes them longer than the media thinks to sleep together, of course the media has been thinking they were sleeping together since day one.
It takes a while to express their feelings towards each other. They are dating for a year before they admit to any sort of immoral yearnings. They are together for another year before they slip into each other's beds.
