May. 16th, 2010 04:36 pmIt was amazing how quickly an act of homosexuality could clear the baseball club out of Hanai's house. Generally it was impossible to get the players to leave, especially if dinner was coming up and their parents weren't calling them to come home, or if there was tests coming up and half the club was clinging to Abe's arms for math help and the other half begging Hanai for his English notes. Still, even when there was both dinner and a test coming up Tajima could clear the room.
It was part of his magic.
It had started out pretty innocently. All of the club members had brought a handful of snacks so they wouldn't eat Hanai's mother out of house and home. Tajima had brought a bag of primarily sugary snacks, almost all imported from America. He was pretty proud of them, they'd been a gift from a friend of his grandfather or something along those lines. Hanai had not been paying attention because he had been trying to help Mihashi through a particularly difficult patch. (The only reason the patch was difficult because the paper was blotted with Mihashi's tears.)
Anyway, Tajima had been steadily working his way through his snacks and Hanai had steadily been working his way through his clubmate's study issues that by the time Tajima got to the top of the line he was riding a sugar buzz and Hanai was feeling snappy.
"Aren't you supposed to use that to scoop up all the sugar?" Hanai snapped at Tajima when the shorter better baseball player crunched down on the last of the lik-a-stix, there were four Fun Dip packages with only the section for the candy stick ripped open sitting on Hanai's desk beside Tajima's English homework.
"Nope! I'm just gonna dump it all down the hatch!" Tajima seemed even louder when riding a sugar high. He grabbed a packet of Razz Apple Magic Dip and preceded to tear it right down the middle, splattering colored sugar all over his English work, Hanai's desk, and Hanai.
"T-Tajima!!!" Hanai waved a hand in the air and coughed, managing only to get a fine dusting of sugar on his lungs and the back of his hands. "Look what you-"
Eyes blown, Tajima leaned in and licked a stripe of sugar off Hanai's neck, the sugar turning from green to blue and Hanai's face going from white to red.
And the baseball club scampered out of the room faster than Momokan could shout 'play ball!'
