A new app that... allows you to track a woman's menstrual cycle.
Now before my Flist gets all RIGHTEOUS FURY or 'ugh how weird' or maybe 'lol', I'd like to say...
I would buy this app.
I would buy this app for me, because I'm going to be honest. Sometimes I'm a little 'oh shit period time NOW?!' because I lose track of the date, or because sometimes 'four weeks since your last period' is not 'starts on the 14th ends on the-' And I really hate when I'm suffering from PMS and I'm like RAWR RAWR. I'd like a little reminder so that I could go 'oh right'.
When I was a teenager just starting to enter that womanly cycle... I had a lot of issues. I kind of suck at keeping a calender, so if I'd had an Ipod with a little app... that would have been nifty.
Also, if I was a guy I would SO buy this app. Why? Because like it or not... we get downright NASTY sometimes when we're PMSing. And sometimes we don't want to talk about it. We don't want to say 'yeah I look like crap today dipshit, MY CUNT IS HEMORRHAGING'. Or, well, sometimes we do want to say that, but most of the time we don't because we're squeamish about our periods. Or, society is at least.
So if I was a guy, I'd buy that to keep track of my girl's PMS/period times. Because if I was SMART I'd know when to avoid her... and when to show up at her door with a thoughtful pint of chocolate ice-cream and a willingness to put up with 6 hours of Pride and Prejudice.
Honestly, if I had a girlfriend (and an Ipod) I'd use it for her too. Again, read above.
Yeah, it's a little intrusive. Yeah, it's a little RIDICULOUS...
But hey, I think it's genius.
