Atobe stared at the brightly colored and decorated store fronts in frustration. Frustrated (and had he mentioned yet he was frustrated?) Atobe turned and stomped down the lightly snowed street. Snow was irritating, it just melted and became slush. It did mean that Atobe got to wear his brand new boots, but that did not negate the fact that snow was irritating.

Or maybe that was because he was frustrated.

Of course the reason of his frustration was relatively simple (which was partly why he was frustrated) the reason was this-

What did you buy Tezuka Kunimitsu, your award-winning-championship-winning-tennis-playing-asthetically-simple-boyfriend? Something, of course, that you had not bought him before. Their first year together Atobe had taken Tezuka to play tennis on the world's highest tennis court off the Burj Al Arab helipad. It had also been accompanied by a week long stay at the Burj Al Arab hotel, and some quality alone time away from personal trainers, snow, and the Atobe Company. The year after that Atobe had taken Tezuka camping in the American Rocky Mountains. The two of them had enjoyed a nice long vacation… although Atobe had made sure the cabin had wifi and had spent 50% of the time Tezuka was fishing or hiking on his computer. And last year Atobe had bought Tezuka a whole new wardrobe, he hadn't been able to take the time for a vacation out of his busy schedule.

Atobe sighed and found himself facing yet another window dressing display. He could take a week for a vacation… but everything was booked solid now, and even the Atobe name and credit card could only do so much. Plus, where to take him? Tezuka was not one to enjoy hot spots, and their time in Dubai had left Tezuka burnt around the edges. Another trip to the mountains? Ah, but for Tezuka's birthday Atobe had taken him to the Swiss Alps for a short weekend skiing trip, and Tezuka had gone fishing with his grandfather just last month.

Fishing out his cellphone Atobe surrendered to the inevitable. It was the day before Christmas, and Atobe had nothing, nothing to go on. Speed dial one, and a ring tone later…

"Tezuka Kunimitsu here." Tezuka's voice did nothing to sooth Atobe's frustration.

"What do you want for Christmas, Kunimitsu?" Atobe snapped, stamping down the snowy roads towards where Kabaji was waiting with the limo. He had thought some window shopping would help, but no, indeed it made things worse. "I'm out of ideas."

"…" The sound of Tezuka's breathing followed for a few seconds. "Come home, Atobe." There was the sound of a hiss and a pop in the background.

"What was that?" Atobe questioned, signaling for Kabaji to open the car door. Kabaji did and Atobe slid inside.

"Non-alcoholic champagne." Tezuka murmured into the phone. "I've already drawn the bath."

Tezuka hung up then, never having been one to drabble in useless conversation. Atobe smiled slightly and nodded at Kabaji through the divider. "Home, Kabaji. And call in when we get there, I'll be taking a sick day tomorrow."
