kat8cha"You're!" Gokudera stared at Tsuna. "You're alive!" It was… it was a million times better than seeing Tsuna from ten years ago crawl out of Tsuna's coffin. This was, this was impossibly better. "Does that mean the future's been changed?" Gokudera dropped Irie, who fell to his knees, loosening his collar and coughing. No one moved to help him, everyone was looking at Tsuna.
"I was never dead to begin with." Tsuna smiles his special smile, the one that makes Gokudera's heart thump awkwardly and causes his stomach to tighten up. It's a great smile. "Irie shot me with a special bullet it-"
"You." Gokudera spun and grabbed Irie again, hauling him to his feet and choking him. Again. "I knew you shot the tenth! I can't believe you-"
"Let him go, Gokudera Hayato." Hibari's voice, chillingly cold, but also wet. Gokudera looked over his shoulder at Hibari. Hibari was still dripping blood on the floor, his shirt half un-done while Tetsu tried to tend to his wounds. "Irie was of great help to us."
"I don't understand." Ryohei stated. "TO THE EXTREME."
"I'll explain." Tsuna is still smiling, but he looks at Gokudera's hands with disapproval. Gokudera lets go of Irie, again. "I'll explain everything, with a little help, Irie-san, Hibari-san."
"Tsuna." Yamamoto steps up from where he was leaning against the wall, watching everything with a calm smile but stormy eyes. "If you're not dead then…"
Gokudera doesn't have to be a mind reader, or Mukuro, to hear the names Yamamoto does not ask. 'Reborn? My father?' Tsuna's smile falls, and he shakes his head slowly. "No, Yamamoto, I'm sorry…"
Yamamoto's teeth clench behind his smile, and his fists curl, but then his shoulders relax and he shakes it off. "No, I figure that out a while ago, I was just hoping…" Yamamoto looks at Ryohei then, like suddenly realizing the older man is there. "Weren't you with the Varia? I wonder if they helped save us too."
