kat8cha...so, when I say 'hey, want to watch a movie' and you sleep through the movie, don't be surprised when I leave after the movie is done. I realize that your time is YOUR time...
But my time is MY time too. So, yeah, I offered to spend time with you, but I'm *done* now. And sitting on one tiny section of the couch while you sprawl over the rest is not what I want to do for another hour and a half.
Also, the words 'Andrew' + 'marriage'. I don't LIKE the guy, I don't LIKE you dating him, and I'm sorry, I don't even want to think about that.
In just about every generation of my family there has been one marriage which made the family go '...what'. My grandparents on Mom's side did not approve of Dad (well, he's protestant) my great-grandparents on my grandmother's side did not approve of her marriage (...well, the guy did end up being an alcoholic emotionally abusive ass) etc, etc. Spanning ages backwards even. I always wondered just what kind of relationship we could get into that my family would oppose.

God. I'm sorry. I just... you think I would have made it clear to her that I don't want to be in the room while she talks about Andrew and how much she loves him, or how much he cares for her, etc. etc.
