kat8cha"Shit." Niou Masaharu muttered around a split lip. It looked like it was Yanagi here to pick him up, which never meant well. Damn, couldn't they have sent Jackal? Then Niou would have just felt like Kirihara. Passing Akutsu at the desk he muttered, "Fucker, don't come back to my bar."
"Eh?" Akutsu reared back, looking ready to start another fight. One side of Akutsu's face was black and blue from being smashed against the cold hard floor of the bar, the other was covered in scratches. Niou himself was squinting out of one eye, and his hair was matted with blood. Both looked the worse for wear.
"Akutsu." The tall freaky dude who had intercepted Akutsu's transfer and led him out to sign the last of his papers nudged him in the arm. Akutsu hissed and swatted at the man.
"What was that for, zombie?" Akutsu snapped, but his attention was off Niou. Niou allowed himself a mild sulk as he walked to Yanagi. Damn, if he'd managed to start another fight in the station…
"Niou." Yanagi stood smoothly, his attention flickering briefly from Niou to the group of rabble surrounding Akutsu. "Mmm."
Feeling even more like Kirihara, or hell even more pathetic than Kirihara, Niou stifled the urge to shuffle from foot to foot. "Yeah? C'mon Renji, let's beat it."
"Mm." Yanagi nodded, his attention obviously elsewhere. Whatever had distracted him, Niou thanked his lucky stars. No lecture today, or being passed off to- "Yagyuu is waiting at your apartment, and Seiichi would like to see you." Yanagi placed one hand diffidently on Niou's shoulder, than walked past him.
"Shit." Niou muttered. He didn't even give the rabble another passing glance, so he didn't notice the sharp way Kite's eyes followed them out of the station, or the way everything around the group was starting to hit the emotional pitch of 'warm and fuzzy'.
