Apr. 21st, 2009 09:42 pmToday's been a matter of 'growing stifled upset @ my family's inability to remember my likes/dislikes'.
But not really, since it only started once my Dad got home and tried to figure out dinner. My main response to dinner is 'I don't care' because honestly? I don't care what I eat, not really, and if you cook something I don't like well that's TOO BAD. -_-; So I guess the fact that I don't complain (because of years of my opinions not mattering?) is partially what has lead to this.
That and the fact that there's a lot of things I DON'T like, and that my tastes are very divergent from my families.
Dad likes spaghetti, like, a LOT.
I, honestly, don't like tomatoes. I'll occasionally eat a tomato slice on a burger, and I DO like tomato soup, and ever once in a while on spaghetti night I'll force down half a cup of sauce, but other than that... I've been eating just noodles and spaghetti cheese for years. YEARS. So when I've had a tiring, pissy day and Dad's like 'reheat some sauce' should it REALLY surprise him when I grimace a little?
Or that I'm unenthusiastic about the Amy's Mexican Casserole bowls Mom has picked up for dinner? I don't like Mexican food! I've said this SEVERAL TIMES to my parents. Just like I've told them several times that I don't like chocolate chip cookies, so WHY do you OFFER them?
-_-; It's just one of those things. I appreciate the fact that my family makes me food, and I feel guilty when I abstain from family meals because I don't like the food being offered. I think it's rude to say that I don't like it, or to go and make my own food.
But BAH. One of these days they're going to remember something other than the fact that I like Japanese food.
IN OTHER NEWS... I can't figure out the last sentence of Fuzzy Set. It's either SHouichi complaining about doing it twice... (which doesn't make sense unless they did it before Shouichi napped) or Shouichi asking... Byakuran not to pile twice the amount of work on him? IDK. SENTENCE IS ACTUALLY A SENTENCE. I CAN ONLY TRANSLATE SEX NOISES
