kat8cha"Ha!" Ryuunosuke swiped his sword downward, pushing against Takeru's thrust. Watching them fight now, even if they were just training, made something inside of Chiaki feel strange. He could see on Kotoha and Mako's faces that they felt it too, this strange 'what would it be like if it was me' face. When it came to swordsmanship Takeru trained with Ryuunosuke, and the two of them pushed each other's limits, while Ryuunosuke might engage in other training with the rest of the 'retainers' he had more skill with a sword than the rest of them.
Takeru had grabbed Mako and Kotoha, had pulled them both down to the ground and out of the gedoshuu's blast. Their lord had expected Chiaki to duck, to be sensible, or maybe just be stronger than he was.
If Ryuunosuke hadn't pushed him out of the way of the spell, would there have been so much trouble?
Chiaki curled his hands into fists when Ryuunosuke declared that he had lost again. Strength, that was what Ryuunosuke had that he didn't. Ryuunosuke was smart too, but Chiaki wasn't going to best their lord with intelligence. Not that Chiaki was dumb…
He just needed to get stronger.
