Apr. 3rd, 2009 08:25 pmFuji wasn't surprised that Ryoma was waiting at the room Fuji had been assigned to. "Echizen. I didn't think you were my roommate." Fuji made a show of checking the paper he'd been given. Nope, the paper still said he was rooming with some random high school student. "Mmm, must be a mistake."
Ryoma shrugged, coolly disinterested. It was as much a truth and a lie as Fuji's cheerful smile. "I just wanted to talk with you senpai."
Fuji hummed, hitched his duffle bag higher on his shoulder. "That's true, we haven't had our reunion yet have we." Momo had squeezed him, Eiji had smacked him around a little, and Tezuka had asked how America was. During the matches against the high school players Kaidoh had approached Echizen and the two of them had stood silently together until Kaidoh turned away blushing. Inui had murmured something to Echizen about whether he had a growth spurt or not, while Oishi fretted over Ryoma from the side.
Ryoma made a vague noise, somewhere between a 'uh huh' and a 'tch'. Fuji's smile widened.
"Well, I haven't met my roommate yet." Fuji stepped over towards the dorm room and grabbed the handle. "Wait here." Fuji slipped into the room and found himself chuckling when he was faced with an irate high school student. Making sure that things didn't take too long, who knows what would happen if Echizen got impatient, it only took a minute before the highschooler was chased out and Ryoma could be ushered in.
"That didn't take long." Ryoma said once Fuji had closed the odor.
"Expediency is important." Fuji pulled Ryoma further into the room, then pushed him up against the wall. "We wouldn't want the people watching the cameras to think we'd done something that would get us punished."
Ryoma smirked, and pulled the glasses he'd stolen earlier out of his pocket and slipped them on. "You like getting punished, Fuji-kun."
"Is that right…" Fuji paused. "Echizen-sensei?"
Ryoma shrugged, coolly disinterested. It was as much a truth and a lie as Fuji's cheerful smile. "I just wanted to talk with you senpai."
