Mar. 29th, 2009 07:59 pmChrome is coughing. She's not coughing up blood, she's just coughing. It's hard to breath now, somewhere in the Millefiore base a fire has started and the smoke is slowly filling the hallways. Chrome wonders if it's where the boss is, Tsuna's flame has never set things on fire before. It's powerful, and hot, and you feel burned and filled with warmth, and it's melted things away but… She's never seen it set something on fire. Maybe it's the Cloud Bo- Hibari Kyouya's doing, he's violent, and technology and violence do not mix. Maybe he's destroyed something and that's why the hallways are filling with smoke and the vents aren't clearing it at all.
Chrome wouldn't know, she's been separated from them. Not by choice, but not by force, Chrome is hearing a voice, a soft voice, calling her name. She knows it's Mukuro, the same way she knows her thoughts are her own. But after facing Mukuro on the field, a brainwashed, dangerous Mukuro, Chrome doesn't think she should trust this quiet voice.
But Byakuran's version of Mukuro had never called to her the way this voice does.
She rounds the corner and quickly casts up an illusion of not being there. There's a fight going on in the hallway, two black spell men against a group of white spell. One of the black spell men growls, and leaps at the white spell, taking two of them down quickly. The other man whips something around, like strings, and the rest of the group goes down. They look familiar from the back, but Chrome can't quite place them.
"Your illusions aren't that good." The blond, growling black spell man says and he turns. He's taller, and his scar is gone, but now that Chrome is looking for it she can see the shadow of illusions overlaying his body. "I can smell you." The illusion around Ken shivers, then shatters, falling away to reveal that his scar is as prominent as ever, and his blond hair just as wild. Chikusa turns as well, to look at the corner Chrome is clinging to, a white owl clutched to her chest.
"He's in there." Chikusa says, and nods at an open doorway to their right. "He's waiting for you."
