Niou rolled his eyes at Kirihara and motioned at the three cards in Kirihara's hand. "We've been over this before, brat, you have those cards in your hand so they are not the right answer." Niou shuffled his cards around some more. Being ten steps ahead he already knew the answer, but he'd sworn he'd let Yagyuu figure out the game today. When Rikkai played Clue there were only three winners, Niou, Yagyuu, or Yanagi.
"Can't we just play Candy Land already?" Marui whined, his gum a limp shade of pale beige, the color and life long since chewed and blown out. "Clue takes forever."
"We played Candy Land last time." Jackal rejoined the group around the coffee table and set a plate of cookies off to the side of the board. Marui's side of the board of course. "We agreed to play cards after this."
Team game night was good for 'team bonding' or so said Yukimura. Behind Yukimura's back (far, far behind Yukimura's back), and behind locked doors Yanagi said to Sanada that 'team game night is good for Seiichi's inner sadist'. Sanada silently agreed.
"We did agree on Egyptian Rats Crew once Clue is over." Yukimura demurred, breaking up the argument before it could start. "We'll play Candy Land another time."
Behind Yukimura's back Yanagi and Sanada traded a glance.
Yagyuu slipped his piece into the library and cleared his throat. "Miss Scarlet, in the library, with the revolver."
And of course, as per Niou's thinking and Yanagi's calculation, Yagyuu was right.
