Bah, I meant to write more today, but I got distracted, and then had to go bbsit, and everything. Have to bbsit tomorrow.YADDA I kind of wanna go for coffee after class. Really want to skip class entirely. So maybe I'll go to Dewey's for 2 hours after I get out.
I think the reason it's harder to start up a Reborn! fandom only rp is b/c of the plot. With PoT it was soooooooooo fucking easy. You were like 'OKAY. TENNIS CAMP' or 'setting this in highschool!' and while teams give you a basic 'these guys hate these guys' you didn't have the divisions you have with KHR. KHR is also a RELATIVELY new fandom. It's had, what, just over 20 volumes put out? And the first 2 volumes are spent introducing people, then you don't get into a SERIOUS storyline till Volume 8. It takes 7 freaking volumes to get through the Varia arc, and after that you're in the TYL!Arc and that's... still going!
It's hard setting up a canon RP that doesn't exclude characters. If you say you're setting it up TYL, you nix people who wouldn't be brought into the affair TYL. If you set it PRE-TYL you nix all the TYL characters!
I guess the only way to get 'canon' setting would be to set it up 'post!TYL' after the defeat of Byakuran and back in their own timeline/universe. Then you could introduce TYL characters in the ten years before time, simply b/c I don't think Reborn would just let powerful threats GROW on their own. I think you might have to leave it open for OC characters though, b/c you're going to need new bad guys.
THEN of course there's the AU route, but that's gone over like a lead balloon so far. Well, SB did pretty well, all considered. It might just not have been the right premise.
