It was difficult to summon up such a quantity of disdain and stuff it into one word, it wasn't cheap disdain either this was the hard core expensive stuff, but Charles managed it without breaking a sweat. Metis, who was the current object of Charles' disdain and scorn, short lived though it may be, rolled from his side onto his back, his big black not-emo eyes looking up at Charles. The eyes reminded Charles of a dog that had pissed on your carpet, but didn't see anything wrong with that. Charles checked the carpet for stains, okay, they were good.
Of course, Metis' face was another case entirely.
"I was just eating some fruit roll ups." Metis had red and green and yellow and blue circles stuck to his face. Sticky circles probably, and they'd no doubt leave a mark. Charles should be glad Metis wasn't the type to be allergic to colored dye or Metis' face would never be the same. "Want some?" Metis cheerfully peeled a red circle off his face and offered it to Charles. A small, round, sticky looking circle remained on Metis' face.
"Gives a new meaning to 'eating face'" Charles leaned down and sucked the fruit rollup, and some of Metis' finger, into his mouth. Metis made a face, pulling his finger out and leaving the fruit rollup behind. Mmm, cherry and Metis, a good combination.
