Karim crawled over a chunk of wall, his fingers scraped and bloodied and bruised, his camera trapped between his chest and his elbow. The city was being destroyed, the city was burning, but, Karim needed to get this shot. Karim's career, his life, his marriage, EVERYTHING depended on this shot. No one had been able to get a half decent picture of the Gundams, not with the electronic cameras shorting out whenever the Gundam's came by, and certainly not with the Gundam's flying off as soon as they were done. Karim, who had been one of the few photographers to use old fashioned cameras, had been offered a lot of money to get a good picture of the Gundams.
Crawling under a section of roofing only being held up by a splintering, burning beam, Karim hoped that the money was worth his life.
Karim stepped carefully over bits of broken asphalt and around small fires. All around him people were running, fleeing, but Karim only had eyes for the large, red gundam turning to face off against a smaller, flying vehicle. Bringing his camera up to his eye Karim focused it, focused it, centered it…
Karim took the shot, and bolted, hoping to make it out of the city before his film began to burn.
