kat8chaShouichi meets with the Vongola boss twice. The first time was easy to arrange, the Millefiore have only begun to move out against the Vongola, and the Vongola are eager for news. Shouichi will not meet with the Vongola's guardians, he flatly refuses, and Sawada is just as trusting as Shouichi has heard. Sawada's lucky that Shouichi's not actually an assassin, though Shouichi is sure that Sawada can both handle himself and that the Vongola's men are not far behind.
"I can't abandon my research." Shouichi talks to the Vongola quietly, just loud enough to be heard over the casual conversation of the people around them. "Byakuran-san would find someone to finish it, and it's important." The Vongola rings, Shouichi doesn't say, will be needed to fight Byakuran. Sawada looks attentive, but not overly worried. "I just wanted you to know."
They part on amicable terms, Sawada accepting that if Shouichi can he will help, but Shouichi will not abandon the Millefiore.
"Mmm." Byakuran turned over, nuzzling against Shouichi's naked shoulder. Shouichi turned to face Byakuran, unsurprised at the deadly glint in Byakuran's eyes. "Shou-chan, you've been quiet tonight." Byakuran closed his eyes and smiled. "Do you have something you want to tell me?"
Shouichi stayed quiet, all too aware now of Byakuran's hand sliding over Shouichi's bare hip to rest on Shouichi's back.
"Mmm." Byakuran tugged Shouichi forward so that they were pressed together. "Keeping something from me Shou-chan?"
Shouichi kissed Byakuran and then pulled back. "Byakuran-san… it just makes the game more exciting right?"
Byakuran laughed and pulled Shouichi on top of him. "Mmm, you're such a good player Shou-chan, nothing is ever boring around you."
The second time Shouichi meets the Vongola boss Shouichi has to make things quick. Byakuran has instituted a 'uniform', and this makes him easily recognizable. The Cervello have also taken to following Shouichi closely, and Shouichi can't seem to get five minutes unmonitored.
Five minutes after Shouichi's meeting with Sawada ends, Sawada is gunned down in the streets. Seconds after that Shouichi's wireless communicator beeps.
"Such a good player, Shou-chan."
