kat8cha"…" Tsuna bit the inside of his cheek and prayed to all that was holy that his face was blank. It wasn't a site Tsuna had ever expected to walk in on, that Tsuna had ever thought he might need to hope NOT to walk in on, it wasn't a site Tsuna had ever even considered, not in a million, trillion years. Though perhaps Tsuna should have seen it coming, there had been signs… Hibari had noticed Tsuna's entrance, but had taken his time raising his eyes to meet Tsuna's. Tsuna teetered, halfway between taking a step forward and taking a step back. Tsuna hoped his face was as blank as Hibari's eyes, though less dangerous, though Tsuna knew he could never pull off dangerous.
Not in a million, trillion years.
"Hi-Hibari-san." Hibari looked faintly attentive, though mostly like his attention was elsewhere, like on the muscular creature under him.
"Tenth? Is that bastard hogging the room again?" And Tsuna should have stopped Gokudera, but he was trying really hard not to react, and when you were trying hard not to react you often didn't react to other things you should have reacted to! Gokudera pushed past Tsuna and stopped, just inside the room. It took Gokudera's mind a few seconds to figure out what his eyes were seeing. "Sweet merciful-!" Gokudera slammed his hands up to his face, rubbing at his eyes and then scrubbing through his hairline.
Hibari growled.
The golden form under him whimpered.
"Hibari-san!" Tsuna didn't snap, but he could be… stern. Stern, slightly louder tone of voice. Not snapping, not shouting. "Hibari-san, we'll need this room later for a meeting with the Cavallone 10th." Tsuna did his best not to follow the motion of Hibari's hand, which was currently petting…
"I've already started." Hibari bared his teeth at Gokudera and Tsuna. "Out."
Gokudera looked ready to splutter and protest, but Tsuna, having faced certain death countless times, knew certain death when it stared him in the face. Grabbing Gokudera's arm with dying will Tsuna propelled them back out of the room, closing the door behind them. Leaning his forehead against the opposite wall Tsuna took a deep breath and tried to ignore the happy yipping noises coming from inside the room.
Why couldn't he have less insane guardians?
"Gokudera?" Tsuna questioned, and Gokudera made a soft, possibly amused, maybe angry, grunt of assent before snapping back to himself.
"Sorry, tenth! Was there anything you needed?"
Tsuna laughed tiredly. "Check the closets and make sure Hibari didn't stash Dino-san's body somewhere? And if you find him tell him I don't think he's getting his dog back…"
Gokudera shook his head and started off in search of the missing Cavallone 10th. "I think Bucking Horse already knows."
