. Under Chinen’s ass was the rough brick of the rooftop wall. Chinen was staring a window on the apartment building across from him. Just last week there had been a report of a young man dropping from the apartment window completely naked and the young man had walked off unharmed. That would not be surprising if the apartment window had been near to the ground but the reports said he fell from the tenth floor.
Chinen had heard reports through vampire circles that someone had been making a mess out of their minions. He’d heard through the goody-two-shoes werewolves that there was a vampire attack case being investigated by the police. Chinen had come all the way to this human infested city to see if his suspicious were correct.
He was. Akutsu was in that apartment. Chinen could not see him, the window showed very little, but Chinen could feel him.
Akutsu was attracting some very negative attention. When Akutsu’s actions came to bite him in the ass Chinen would be sure to be there to help. Akutsu would not want his help, but Chinen was sure that Akutsu would be persuaded to accept it. By vampire law Chinen was still Akutu’s master. This meant that Chinen had certain responsibilities, protecting Akutsu and the weaklings Akutsu had spawned were just part of them.
