kat8chaIt had been stupid, but the girl had looked so young, and Kurt had been feeling so old and so very drunk.
The girl was standing in the dairy isle, her eyes glancing from cheddar cheese to cheddar cheese. Kurt had always been partial to American, there was nothing natural in it so it never went bad. Staggering up to her, Kurt was waiting for Ron to pick up a few six-packs and drive them back to the party; Kurt leaned heavily against the milk display. He gave the girl’s distended stomach a disdaining glare before moving his eyes up to the girl’s face. The girl couldn’t have been more than 14! And she was standing in the grocery store, pregnant and picking out cheese! “Do you even know who the father is?” Kurt slurred, spit spraying as he spoke.
The girl had glanced up when Kurt had swaggered close and had been in the middle of backing away. Wiping spittle off of her thin wire-rimmed glasses she leveled Kurt with an even stare. There was fire in her eyes when she answered –
“The soda industry?” Ron was laughing his ass off at Kurt’s expensive, the cases of beer forgotten in the back seat as Kurt extolled his story of woe. “Damn man, you asked a fat chick if she was pregnant? I’m not surprised she maced you!”
Kurt’s eyes were on fire, enough pain surging through his system to push the drunkenness back. “She didn’t LOOK fat okay! She just looked like she had an extra carrier in her stomach, and she had these tits okay?” They were gloriously large breasts, the kind you rarely found naturally.
“What about the kick to the balls?” Ron started up the car and drove sedately out of the parking lot. Ron did not drink, which was why he was always sent to pick up more beer. “She wait till you were on your knees crying like a baby before kicking those?”
“You have no sympathy.” Kurt reached back and wrestled a can of beer out of it’s plastic harness. “I’ll kick you in the nuts with steel toned boots later.”
Ron stopped at a red light and smacked the back of Kurt’s head, sending him nose first into the beer. “Try it and I kick your ass, fucker.”
