Sanada grunted slightly, setting the Sanada family stone back in it’s spot in the garden.
As second son part of Sanada’s responsibility was to carry the stone around with him, to be forever reminded of the long history and heavy responsibility on the Sanada family’s shoulders.
“Sanada.” Yukimura sat on the edge of the porch, kicking his feet lightly above the ground. “I didn’t realize you had a pet rock.”
Sanada looked up from rubbing the rock down. “It’s not a pet rock.” Pocketing his handkerchief Sanada adjusted the rock’s stance.
Yukimura bit back a chuckle. “Of course not.”
“…it’s the Sanada family stone.” Sanada grunted, feeling his cheeks heat up under Yukimura’s teasing. Finishing adjusting the stone’s placement before joining Yukimura on the edge of the porch.
“Mmm.” Yukimura was attempting to keep a straight face, but his lips kept twitching into a smile. “So it doesn’t have a name?”
“Hn.” Sanada stared out at the garden, hoping that the peace and tranquility would help him out. “It’s Rocko.”
Yukimura’s peals of laughter were more soothing then any garden.
