Shopping is a pain in the ass. I always give bad gifts, or so I feel, so having to buy for 7+ people? Was never fun. It's gotten easier now that we do an exchange... but each year I get one of the boys. And that is a PAIN. Also, wrapping presents. I suck at wrapping. I can't cut in a straight line, and everything ends up looking MANGLED.
What was the worst gift you ever received?
UM. No clue. Probably the lease useful was a tin whistle + tin whistle book my brother in law gave me. Never used either, gave them to my sister this ear for her Irish band.
Who is the hardest person in your family to shop for?
My Mom. It's such a pain in the ass finding out what she wants.
What relative do you dread seeing at the holidays? Or, when you were a child, what relative did you dread seeing?
I'm always vaguely creeped out by my uncle, but lately I dread seeing my grandmother. She's in a nursing home and well... it's just so hard. And she never can hear me, much less SEE me.
What holiday tradition would you eliminate if you could?
Dragging all the fucking christmas shit out of the eaves. It's a bitch and a half, and there are BUGS in there. I got two bites on my arm after dragging stuff out of the eaves and didn't realize it! Or Ham for Christmas dinner. I hate ham...
What do you swear, every holiday season, that you’ll never do again, only to find yourself doing it again the next year?
