When practice had ended Ryou waved Itsuki over to him.
“Hey, Ittchan, can you spare a few minutes? I need you for something.”
Itsuki nodded. “Why?”
Ryou smirked, pulling off his cap and pushing his hair out of the way. “You’ll see.”
Tucking his cap into his pocket Ryou waved the rest of the team off and pulled out his cellphone. Opening up the drafts folder of his text messages Ryou sent off the carefully worded text he had written last night.
“What’re you typing?” Itsuki questioned, leaning over the phone.
“I’m asking Atsushi if he’s going to come home for Winter Break.” Ryou and Itsuki waited in silence, Itsuki fidgeting slightly with his racket, while they waited for Atsushi’s reply.
Ryou’s cellphone vibrated and Ryou flipped it open to check the new message. “Aww, he says no.”
Itsuki’s lips took a sudden turn downwards. Quickly Ryou turned to his camera feature and snapped a picture of it.
“Why are you-”
Ryou placed a finger on his lips. “Shh, Ittchan, I’ll tell you later.” Sending the picture with the attached message ‘You made Ittchan sad’ Ryouwaited for his brother’s reply.
Atsushi’s fingers must have flown because he sent a very cross message reading, simply, ‘that’s not fair’.
Ryou glanced mournfully up at Ittchan. “He still says no. And he’s being real mean about it too.”
Ryou snapped another picture and sent it Atsushi’s way again with the attached message of ‘are you going to make him cry’.
Sometimes it was handy knowing Rokkaku’s weak spots. No one won an argument with Itsuki, not one that Itsuki was prepared to fight for anyway. Patting Itsuki’s arm Ryou pulled his hat out and set it back on his head. “C’mon Ittchan. I’ll buy you some ramen on the way home.”
Itsuki nodded. “Why?”
