At the end of the day Kirihara decided to implement his plan.
After all, it would be best to attack when no one was around. Though Yukimura-buchou did seem to like hanging around Yanagi-senpai after hours lately. Making sure that Yanagi-senpai was alone (he was!) Kirihara launched his master plan.
“YANAGI-SENPAI!” Launching himself at Yanagi Kirihara made a grab for Yanagi’s arm. Latching on Kirihara swiftly wound himself around Yanagi. “Yanagi-senpai let me come home with you! My sister’s cooking tonight! She’ll make me eat it! You don’t want me dead do you senpai?”
“...” Yanagi teetered slightly, just a tad overbalanced from Kirihara’s attack. Glancing down at the mournful, with just the lightest touch of pleading tears, eyes of his underclassmen Yanagi sighed. “You may come over Kirihara.”
Kirihara perked right up, only to deflate slightly at Yanagi’s next statement.
“And you can tell me all about your problems after you finish your English homework. To my satisfaction.”
Well, Kirihara thought mournfully as he followed Yanagi. At least he’d get to ask Yanagi his questions. It took a while for Kirihara to get around to them, first there was snacks, then homework, then dinner, then more homework, and finally after Kirihara called his mother to come pick him up in a half hour he got Yanagi-senpai seated across from him and ready to listen.
“Yanagi-senpai.” Kirihara took a deep breath. “I like someone. And they like me back. Sort of. But I also like someone else who also likes me back, sort of, and I’m kind of dating them both and is that bad?”
Yanagi’s eyes opened slightly, then closed. “Well… do they know about each other?”
Kirihara shook his head very rapidly from side to side.
“Then I would say that no, it’s not a good idea. You should tell them both. They will, however, probably break up with you.” Kirihara dropped his shoulders. He’d been afraid of that. That was why he was kind of hoping that maybe Yanagi-senpai would have some special data master way out of it.
Yanagi smirked a little and Kirihara felt fear creep down his spine. “This doesn’t have anything to do with your ‘unplanned’ trip to Hyotei last week does it? Or your fistfight with Kamio Akira at the street courts?”
Kirihara blushed hotly, poking at Yanagi’s bedroom rug with his foot. “Not… really.”
“Ah.” Yanagi said, in that supreme ‘I know all’ tone of voice. Kirihara curled into a ball.
Maybe buchou would have been a better choice to ask after all.
