Dec. 10th, 2007 02:06 amKenya didn’t understand why he and Yuushi had to go to the same stupid school.
No one else at the school had to be in the same class with their cousin. Plus, Yuushi was stupid so why was he in the same class as Kenya? And Yuushi was slow. He was always making Kenya slow down for him! Kenya didn’t want to slow down, he was nine years old and wanted to go fast!
Plus, the girls always paid more attention to Yuushi. Which Kenya didn’t understand, Yuushi was stupid, and ugly. Who the hell wore fake glasses because he thought they were cool?
“I want to sit next to him.” One of Yuushi’s fangirls, Rei or something, whined. If she had not been using both hands to hold onto Yuushi’s left arm she probably would have pushed the other girl. Tsubaki, who Kenya could swear was supposed to be Rei’s best friend, was holding onto Yuushi’s right arm and pulling with all her might.
“No! He’s mine Rei!” Kenya curled up in his seat on the bus, turning to face the window. He hoped the teacher came back soon to break them up, Kenya wanted to get going already. Kenya was glad no one wanted to sit next to him. It meant he had the seat all to himself. Tuning out the fighting of the girls Kenya focused on the cars rushing by. Kenya wished he could drive a car, a really fast car, maybe a race car. He could win all sorts of money… Though tennis was fun. Kenya would probably have to stop being a tennis player if he wanted to drive a racecar.
Unless he could do both?
“Kenya!” Yuushi poked him in the side. “You shouldn’t ignore your favorite cousin.”
Kenya snorted, glaring at Yuushi sitting next to him. “You’re my only cousin.” Realizing with a start that the girls were sitting on the seat across the isle, without Yuushi, and the teacher was addressing them from the bus telling them to buckle up…
And Yuushi was next to him.
“I told the girls to sit by themselves.” Yuushi smiled benignly. “Because I wanted to sit next to my favorite cousin.”
Kenya snorted again. "Only cousin, stupid."
