Sweeney Todd was... well it was good

Well, the score for the movie seemed... off at points. Maybe it was because in the beginning we were having sound trouble and it was bloody difficult to hear. It was engaging watching Johnny Depp sing though. And I rather liked Toby the shop boy's songs.

Helena Bonham Carter is HOT. And I got to stare at her tits. I love her when she's creepy. She had some lovely songs, and was awesome as Mrs. Lovette. I found the scene for the sea song hilarious. Because she's like, bone white, and Sweeney doesn't care, and she's wearing these bright and carefree outfits. I liked her relationship with Toby too. She was really good there.

The outfits were lovely. I want dresses like that. Hell, I want a figure so I can wear dresses like that.

Jayne Wisener as Johanna SCREAMED 'I am illegal, do not touch me'. She's *my* age. God, I felt guilty staring at her. Just looking in her direction made me feel like I was a pervert.

Jamie Bower as Antony. I'll admit, it was hard not looking at Tony and thinking 'god, Shirota' but I managed. The character was... well, he's rather flat anyway. He's a horny randy boy, and Jamie Bower fails to give him any depth really. And I was like 'stop running to Sweeney Todd and make yourself some FRIENDS'.

There was.. so much blood, and throat slitting, and just... well, I know that's what it is about, but it went over the top. The beginning sequence, which is red rain progressing to a river of blood, was more humorous than creepy. The ending was melodramatic and lacked punch.

And you never really know if Antony and Johanna get away.

All in all, fun film to enjoy with friends, but... I doubt I'll see it again. See it in theaters though, because it's fucking dark and is NOT going to look good on your television sets.
