Inui looks around curiously and it occurs to Yanagi that this is Sadaharu's first time in his new room.
"Would you like pictures Sadaharu, or are you sure you can accurately record this in your notebook later?"

"While my accuracy will decrease the longer I spend here I am sure my accountings will be accurate enough." Sadaharu is smirking at him now, just a little. "I do not know what use data on your room would do me."

"My room could provide all sorts of information." That is not a lie, but not the truth either. While not as minimilistic as Sanada's, Yanagi knows his room is relatively bare. That in itself could provide Sadaharu with data though. Inui has moved to skim Yanagi's bookshelf. Yanagi takes a seat at his desk, idly calculating the odds of where Inui will chose to sit. While the bed would probably be the most comfortable for him Yanagi knew that many people found the idea of sitting on the bed uncomfortable. Genichirou despised sitting on the bed.The beanbag chair, Kirihara's preferred seat, was not comfortable for those with long legs. Yanagi figured that if worst came to worst, he could offer Sadaharu his seat at the desk.

"Why did you stop using notebooks?" Inui questioned, leafing through one of Yanagi's old notebooks. There is a glimmer of a smile curling his lips, and Yanagi assumes it is of their old match.

"Ah, they became a hindrance." It was much easier to convert the data straight to memory, instead of relying on a third party source. Inui turns his head, no doubt giving him a disbelieving look behind his thick glasses. Thick glasses and closed eyes, the two ways that Yanagi and Inui kept the rest of the world from seeing what they were thinking.

"Really." Inui picked up the last book Yanagi had used, a book labeled with the time he had stopped keeping records in it. Inui turned to the last page. Inui holds the notebook up and lifts a questioning eyebrow. "May I?"

Yanagi nods.

Inui sits down on the floor and crosses his legs. He pulls a mechanical pencil from his pocket and begins making marks on the notebook, unravelling Yanagi's code. It took him approximetally 6.3 minutes before he set the pencil down. "03/04/06. This is the last time I will record data in this notebook, as Yukimura has requested that I stop. He states that they are hindering my play. It will be a challenge to move to keeping it all in my head but one I look forward to."

Inui glanced up at Yanagi, his face deadpan.

"I never claimed the decision was my own." Yanagi could not help the slightly defensive tone of his voice.

"No." Inui closed the notebook and set it back in the bookshelf. "Renji..."

"Sadaharu." Yanagi cut Inui off. "You are in love with your kohai, we can't."

Inui stood, towering over Renji. "Kaidoh and I are not involved, and if we were Kaidoh is not adverse to sharing." Yanagi placed his hands on Inui's chest when the other leaned close.

"Perhaps I am." It was difficult to push Inui back, his chest was firm and warm under Yanagi's hands. Inui's scent, like the crisp scent of books and fresh vegetables, was subtle and would linger in Yanagi's nose for hours. "Sadaharu." Inui's arms were longer than Yanagi's now, and they were braced on the desk behind Yanagi.

"You're lonely." Yanagi's fingers clenched in Inui's shirt. There was no way Sadaharu could have missed that. "Renji."

"Let me help." Yanagi finished his sentence for him. "...once. Just once."

Sometimes it is alright to lie to yourself, even if no one else will believe the lie.
