kat8chaShuunjiro had been surprised when he ran into Renji, he hadn’t known that Genjyo was working at that hospital.
Maybe he shouldn’t have been surprised, maybe it was fate or something. Shinjiro had realized when he accepted the hospital’s job that he might run a chance at running into the director. Still, running into Renji and the director on the same day… Well, running into the director had probably been Renji's doing, just like it was Genjyo’s doing that Shinjiro had been in the basement of the church embalming Hiyori-san.
But… Shunjiro knew he wouldn’t be able to turn down a job, especially not for such a beautiful girl.
“That’s me.” Shunjiro tipped back his beer bottle. “The midnight embalmer. Here to preserve your memories.”
“Eeeeeeeeeeh?” Tonight’s girl, Nat-chan, leaned into Shunjiro's face. Her breath stank of beer, and she wasn’t the prettiest girl Shunjiro'd picked up, but anything was good so long as it warmed him up. "Shun-chan did you say something?”
Pasting on a smile Shunjiro shook his head. “Never mind, never mind. Nat-chan! Come play darts with me!”
But… Shunjiro knew he wouldn’t be able to turn down a job, especially not for such a beautiful girl.
