Davide watched covertly as Saeki got ready for his job.
The book for his astrophysics class was open in front of him, and his notebook lay across it, notes scribbled haphazardly around a drawing of a rocket ship. Right now though Davide wasn't writing anything, his pen tip was drooling ink over the edge of his notebook while he watched Saeki dress.
Saeki always left the door to his room just a little open whenever he finished up with their shared bathroom. It wasn't that Saeki was trying to show off, he probably didn't even know Davide liked to watch, but the door to Saeki's room never closed unless you were very deliberate about it.
Saeki was always in too much of a rush getting ready for the host club to care about his door being closed properly.
Saeki slid on his white suit coat and Davide turned back to stare at his notebooks. In a few seconds the sounds of Saeki's shoes would tap across the hardwood floor of his room and he would step into the hallway between the bedrooms and living room. "Hey Davide." Saeki posed dramatically. "How do I look tonight?"
Davide pretended to pretend to give Saeki a once over. He couldn't allow Saeki to know how much he thought of him. Davide had never had any problems admitting his homosexuality but he didn't know about Saeki-san.
"If looks could kill, you'd be a weapon of mass destruction."
Saeki laughed and clapped Davide on the shoulder. "Okay, I'm going. Itsuki might come by tonight with food, so you better be studying when he does! Otherwise he'll frown!" Waving at Davide Saeki walked out of the apartment.
Plunking himself back down in front of his books Davide frowned. Saeki had looked good enough to eat. Sighing Davide doodled an icecream cone in the corner of his notebook and began to reread the chapter. Maybe he could convince Itsuki to go out for parfaits later.
Mmm, Saeki'd look good covered in strawberry syrup.
