Sep. 21st, 2007 04:16 pmKaidoh knew Inui-senpai would be disappointed in him when he woke up.
Still, Kaidoh couldn't possibly allow Inui-senpai to go to the hospital alone. There was no reason for him to stick around nationals anyway, as Kirihara had said, Nationals was over for him.
"Kaidoh." Kaidoh jumped, glancing down at his bandage wrapped senpai. Inui blinked at him, his bright green eyes hazy and unfocused. "My glasses?"
Kaidoh blushed, fumbling for the square glasses on the nightstand. Pressing them into Inuii-senpai's hand Kaidoh watched as his heavily bandaged hand closed around it. Inui-senpai wasn't exactly slow but he was awkward. The white bandages wrapped around Inui's face and up his arms, disappearing under the blue hospital ground.
"The doctors said you lost a lot of blood."
"As to be expected." Inui slid his glasses on, pushing them high on his nose. "Though I will admit my data might have been… optimistic… about the outcome of this match."
Kaidoh frowned, hissing slightly. "I thought you didn't have data on the line up." Kaidoh crossed his arms in front of him. Inui smiled slightly, a brief flash of teeth and a small smirk.
"There were too many variables to estimate reliably before I saw who they put in singles three." Inui gradually pushed himself up as he spoke, carefully propping himself up on the hospitals pillows. It was obvious the movement hurt him. Kaidoh had seen some of the bruises from Kirihara's attacks before the nurses had bandaged Inui up. "When they started with Sanada it became apparent Rikkai would be hitting hard fast. Putting Renji into doubles 2 was inevitable, I was unsure how you would fare in a match against Kirihara."
Inui's hand touched Kaidoh's elbow, grasping and squeezing lightly. "You exceeded my expectations by 42.7%."
Kaidoh blushed, glancing away, a hiss escaping his pursed lips. "It was all because of you, senpai."
"There is a high percentage that you will finally acquiesce to my invitation for a pleasurable outing." Inui sounded so smug, but Kaidoh couldn't read him at all. Generally Kaidoh had a decent chance at guessing what Inui was thinking, even with the glasses obscuring his eyes and his ability to control the smallest flash of emotion, except sadism because that generally came in large doses.
Kaidoh glanced to the side. "I'll go on a date with you senpai. But no data."
"I'll leave the notebooks at home." Inui smirked, squeezing Kaidoh's arm again before he settled back onto the bed. "Now we just need to wait for Oishi's text message about Fuji's match."
