kat8chaChitose pondered the ball in his hands.
Tossing the plastic eight ball from hand to hand he debated his question. Should he ask about Kippei? Chitose hadn't seen Kippei since he'd gotten out of the hospital. By the time he got out Kippei was gone, transferring away to Tokyo. And now Chitose's own parents were going to transfer away from Kyuushu.
"Will my life be ruined by the move?" Chitose shook the ball and flipped if over.
'My sources say no'.
"Okay." Chitose turned the ball over again, shaking it back and forth as he contemplated his next question. "Hmm. Will I get to see Kippei again?" Chitose tuned the ball over.
'Outlook good'.
"Well that's good then." Tenderly Chitose brushed his fingers under his still recovering eye. "Will my eye heal?"
Turning over the ball Chitose snickered and flopped back onto his bed. "Well, hopefully you're right on magic 8 ball, because if it's not fixed by the time I see Kippei he's gonna get pissed." Holding the eight ball above his head Chitose closed his eyes and shook it. "Will Kippei and I get together?"
Slitting his eyes open Chitose checked the readout.
'Yes – definitely.'
