Jul. 23rd, 2007 10:36 amYou know early this morning I found myself craving these old World Book we used to have. Not the actual encyclopedia's, but we used to have a set of children's encyclopedia's. My dad was an encyclopedia salesman and did so well he got free sets. So anyway, when I was growing up the encyclopedia's were starting to get outdated, but it's not like we really paid much attention to it. My sisters and I looked at the pictures of the dogs and at the pictures of people's bodies, where we could flip the transparent pages and move from looking at muscles to blood vessels to the nervous system to bones.... it was awesome.
Anyway, the children's world books were filled with TONS of stuff. The books I remember are the ones filled with stories, they had all sorts of awesome stories in it, and then I remember the math world book, but I never really understood any of it. There was also a book with a bunch of craft ideas. Like how to make a fortune teller, and all sorts of costume ideas, and stuff.
I was craving it because I couldn't figure out any fun 'play' things to do with the kids today. All the free kid scripts I found asked for like, 8 people.
