kat8chaI'm amused by the Great Livejournal Strikethrough's progress through fandoms. I saw it hit KKM first (when their kink meme closed it's doors) though I have to assume it came from Harry Potter before that. Then moffithad a warning on her journal though I don't know where she go it from. From there I watched it hit community after community, slowly making it's way into the general knowledge of people I play with (aka Tenipuri) and keeping going from there. I've seen it hit, since last night, Kingdom Hearts (and Ria sent me a warning <333), Heroes, Power Rangers, FMA, and X-men. Probably other's that I've forgotten. XD Note, I only saw it on the communities I watch, so it could have hit those fandoms long before that and only impacted the comms recently.
It's sorta like watching a plague. Or some sort of corrosive spill. I kinda want to say 'Do not panic people! This too shall pass!' Honestly I don't think the Great Strikethrough will affect many small fandoms, unless they're small fandoms that deal with particularly naughty subjects. At the same time I want to yell 'Repent! Repent! The end is nigh!' to make all the people who hide away from the wank fall to their knees and pray.
I think this is the time to unveil my grand weapon.
Every time LJ deletes a journal, Pikachu sucks Jesus' cock.
