kat8chaHiyoshi scowled while he wiped the sweat from his forehead. It was a hot day and he had gotten held up at practice bye Atobe and had then missed his bus.
Waiting around would mean his senpai would offer him rides and also that it would be another half an hour before the next bus came. Hiyoshi could be halfway home in a half hour, so he decided just to walk. Practice had been long, and Hiyoshi was tired, he'd been playing doubles with Gakuto against Jiroh and Kabaji today and the muscles in his arms burned. Finishing the last dregs of his water bottle Hiyoshi tucked it into his tennis bag and looked around. If he took the long way home he would pass by the public tennis courts and be able to fill his water bottle there, or he could take a short cut and buy himself something teeth rotting but hydrating.
Shading his eyes and glancing at the sun Hiyoshi headed for the short cut. It wasn't long before Hiyoshi came upon a red vending machine on the sidewalk. Fishing in his pocket for loose change Hiyoshi surveyed his choices. Coffee, coffee, ponta, juice, milk, coffee, flavored water, sports drink. "Sports drink it is." Pressing the right amount into the machine Hiyoshi pushed the button for the sports drink.
"…." Hiyoshi pushed the button again. Maybe he hadn't put in the right amount? Pushing in a few more coins Hiyoshi pushed the button again.
"Oh of all the…!" Pushing his hair out of his face Hiyoshi glowered. He was hot, tired, and thirsty. The machine was going to give him his drink or else. Pushing the button once again Hiyoshi gritted his teeth.
"HA!" Swinging around Hiyoshi landed a kick in the machines side that left a dent.
Ka-thunk, ka-thunk, ka-thunk. Grinning victoriously Hiyoshi picked up two bottles of the sports drink and a can of ponta.
"Gekokujou."
