You know, whenever I start posting fanfic for a new fandom, I come across this issue.

Icons. Layout. The fact that I love my icons and layout.

See, I'm a snob. I'm a horrible, horrible snob. I feel that if people are going to put their best foot forward, they should look their best. That means, no crappy paint icons. GRANTED, some people LIKe their crappy paint icons, and sometimes people's crappy paint icons serve a point. Sometimes the text on the icon is funny. Sometimes it's not. Etc. Etc. Etc. Hell, I fully admit that a LOT of my icons are... crappy. XD But again, best foot forward, I try to pick icons that I like, that I consider nice, and also that convey whatever I'm trying to convey.

Like, if I'm writing PoT, I try to use a PoT icon at a PoT comm, or when writing KHR, I do the same. Now if I'm writing fic for a small fandom, I don't care as much, if I'm writing a fic for kamen rider or sentai, something with multiple seasons, I might use an icon from another season... But I try not to use a manga icon if I'm commenting on a DCU/Marvel comic fic.

But see, I'm PRIMARILY eastern in my fandoms. I do a lot of manga and anime, and then I do live actions that are eastern. I'll be honest, deep, deep down, this embarrasses me, just a little. I might talk about it freely, but it embarrasses me. Deep down, I think that my love of manga, anime, and Japanese boys is silly. I acknowledge that, you know, all fandom is silly, but... ^^;;;

Bah, just something silly I thought of b/c I had to go and make myself Star Trek icons so I could post to the new star trek comm. >_<;;; Simply b/c I'm a snob and when i see an icon that doesn't match the comm (especially if it's a manga/anime icon in a western fandom) I generally skip over it.
