 Niou’s mother had recently taken a liking to odd American musicals.

Her newest craze was some musical with anthropomorphic cats that sang and danced across the stage. Yagyuu could have cared less about Niou’s mother’s oddities if it was not for the fact that she had thought it was adorable to buy her son and all of his little friends cat ears. No one said no to Niou’s mother, even when she pinched their cheeks and patted their heads. Mostly because Niou’s mother scared the team shitless. She was like a grown up Niou with breasts and while Jackal seemed to think this made her pretty damn hot the rest of the team was filled with irrational fear of females. (Yanagi had a theory about it but he never voiced said theory aloud)

 

The minute Niou’s mother had left them standing befuddled in front of Rikkai’s campus each holding a pair of cat ears interesting things began happening. Yukimura had taken Yanagi and Sanada’s cat ears away and tucked them into his tennis bag with a suspicious smile. Kirihara had pounced Marui while making fake cat noises, and Jackal had shrugged and tossed his in the trash. Niou had switched his ears with Yagyuu’s and then fixed the headband on his partners head. After admiring how cute they made Yagyuu he took the headband off.

 

“Not virgin.” As Kirihara stopped mauling Marui to stare Niou replaced the ears. “Virgin.” Then took the off again. “Not virgin.”

 

“Niou-kun.” Yagyuu crossed arms in front of his chest, his glasses glinting. “I don’t believe your mother was thinking of Loveless when she bought these.”
