An adornment. That’s all he is. A pretty statue. Ron leans his head on his master’s knee, careful not to move besides breathing. Voldemort had won the war in the end, and with Harry Potter dead at his feet had crushed Dumbeldore’s Army’s hopes. Sure, they had kept fighting but the spirit wasn’t in it anymore. Whenever an outpost of the resistance fell the Death Eaters tried hard to take all Pureblood’s alive and their fates were decided on later. Ron had fought for a long time, a very long time, after Harry’s death and in the absence of Dumbeldore, Harry or any of the other fighters who had made names for themselves Ron was basically the leader. He and Hermione had held one of the last outposts of the resistance for a full year under siege, but eventually they had been overrun. Hermione had been killed and he, he’d been captured. Once Ron had reached Voldemort’s re-vamped Ministry building he had been branded as a slave and locked up. The last remaining Weasley couldn’t tell you how long he had remained in that small dark cell, he’d spent a great deal of it passed out, but eventually someone had decided that it would be fun to spend time ‘training’ him on his place as a slave. That person was, of course, Draco Malfoy. Malfoy had, literally, pounded into his skull that he was there for aesthetic purposes. That he enhanced the aura of Draco’s power, after all who would dare disobey a man who had the last leader of the DA at his feet? “Thinking pretty?” Draco murmured running a hand through his hair, Ron’s loud thoughts having distracted him from his paperwork Ron shook his head.    An adornment.
