How can you not know the basic story of Uncle Tom's Cabin?
How?!
And how can you not understand the power of literature on the psyche of a country? I'M SURE YOU WATCH TELEVISION AND SUDDENLY FEEL THE NEED FOR A BIG MAC OR SOMETHING.
And no, your professor is not racist. I don't care where the fuck your head is, but when your professor is talking about Antebellum USA, talking about slave catchers and you're all 'how did they know they were slaves' and your professor is trying to explain that they really didn't and you just don't GET it... Yes, using the phrase 'all black people look alike' isn't PC, but it's a culturally recognizable phrase to YOU, isn't it?
-_- When I heard them call him racist outside of class I was tempted to be like 'when was the last time you said all white people look alike?' Also 'shut the fuck up you idiot'.
It's funny how many people in my Dating class JUMP to deny that they fit a stereotype. 'Oh, I'm not a macho man, I'm a self made man, society hasn't made me what I am'.
Shut up people who sit around me, you smell like piss and beer.
