Minami clenched and unclenched his fists. He was feeling sweaty palmed and nervous. He just. They just. Rikkai just… "How can I just let this go?" Minami turned to Higashikata, who was watching him worriedly. "Akutsu went and got locked up, he beat up one of Rikkai's finest, does he not understand *discretion*?!"
"You knew that bringing Higa aboard would be dangerous." Higashikata did not mention that Minami had been against it, but had been overruled by both Sengoku, Dan, and Akutsu. It was not Minami's fault that he was not authoritative enough to run a dictatorship instead of a democratic crew. "We have been careful. There was no way that with Chinen and Kite there that the Rikkai psychics would have picked up anything from it."
"I know but what if…" Minami nervously began to pace. "What if they did? We're pirates, that's not just smuggling, that's not a slap on the wrist, it's bigger. And we have illegal psychics on board!"
Higashikata did not mention that he was rather sure Higa was tied tightly into the death of Rokkaku's leader, and the death of Atobe. Minami might have noticed, but had conveniently managed to pretend such matters had no impact on his crew. "We can't keep Akutsu on ship, he would make trouble. Muromachi also prefers he remains off ship when he works on the filtration system."
"I know." Minami looked frazzled, and made another pass by Higashikata. "I will ask Chinen if he can keep Akutsu occupied. He seems to actually… care about Akutsu so…"
Higashikata nodded. Sengoku was off seeing his 'honey' so Chinen was the only hope at holding Akutsu back.
