kat8chaGoing to Shakespeare when you're not in the mood?

Anyway, the chair was broken, and it was f*ing cold today. We got there late, not after it had started but just before, so we were at the back. I couldn't hear 3 lines out of 5, and most of what I COULD hear was Cleopatra deep-throating the scenery.
...also, there was gratuitous lesbianism. I realize lesbian's sell, but I don't see any reason to have two actresses feeling each other up for an *entire play*. Not just every once in a while, if they weren't talking, they were touching. It just got on my freaking NERVES.
Okay, granted, Shakespeare's all about sex, BUT. WTH. I'm sorry, I'd like to go to a 'modern' Shakespeare play and not HAVE to ignore the fact that the main couple makes out ever 10 minutes.
And then, WAO, BAD JAMAICAN ACCENT ON THE SOOTHSAYER. WTH.
The only good part about the play was Marc Anthony's troops in leather pants. AND I got to say hi to Jack and get a hug from him. :( I miss hanging with Jack.
