Prompt: Turn off your mind.
Characters: Sebastian/Ceil
Rating: PG
Word Count: 306
"Shhhhhhh." Sebastian covered Ceil's bared eye with one hand. Ceil's quill stilled, then lifted quickly off the letter he had been writing. Already the black ink had pooled slightly, making the letters above and behind difficult to read. Ceil's handwriting was tiny, cramped, and difficult to read at the best of times.
"Sebastian." Ceil's tone was snappy. "Stop that." A small hand gripped Sebastian's wrist, tugged harshly, but Sebastian's hand did not move. Instead Sebastian placed his other hand over Ceil's eye patch, his long fingers brushing Ceil's forehead, his palm warm against Ceil's cheek. "Sebastian…"
"Quiet your mind." Sebastian murmured into Ceil's ear, Sebastian's hair brushing gently against Ceil's jaw line and his lips tickling Ceil's earlobe. "You've been working too hard, young master." Under Sebastian's gloved hands Ceil's face felt cool, and Sebastian knew that there were bags under Ceil's eyes. "Up too late, and then so grumpy in the morning, it is not healthy."
"I can do whatever I want." Ceil fidgeted, fumbling around with the objects on his desk to set his pen aside. "It's hardly time to sleep."
"I didn't say sleep. I said quiet your mind." Sebastian did not chuckle, he wasn't really the type. "I can hear it ticking, like a giant clock." Ticking, like the thud of Ceil's heart beat, like the time piece that would determine just when Sebastian won Ceil's soul. "It's restless."
Ceil made an attempt to get Sebastian's hands away from his face again, disliking this enforced blindness. Still, the darkness, Sebastian's voice, the ragged cut of his breath in the too quiet room, it reminded Ceil of why he could not sleep. "Sebastian."
"Shh." Sebastian's mouth pressed against Ceil's neck in a dry, chaste kiss, the affect ruined when the demon/butler's tongue slipped out and licked around Ceil's ear. "You think too much."
