kat8cha“Research has shown that the answer, Sadaharu, is three.” Yanagi carefully unwrapped the tootsie roll pop, the red wrapper crackling between his fingers. Inui in turn unwrapped a blue wrapped tootsie roll pop and they held the two sweets up for comparison. Both were nearly identical in size and shape, with only a few differences.
“Professor, you should know as well as anyone else-”
“Data can be flawed.” Yanagi caught Inui off with a smile. “Wasn’t that what you were going to say, Doctor?”
“Hmm.” Inui’s glasses glinted. “There is a 95% chance that you will eat yours in three licks simply to spite me.”
Yanagi’s lips quirked up in a smile before he slid the raspberry flavored tootsie roll pop between them. “Enjoy your grape, Doctor.”
“I will.” Inui placed the grape flavored candy on his tongue, mumbling around the stick. “Professor.”
“Professor, you should know as well as anyone else-”
