Jan. 2nd, 2007 07:27 pmSo, I came to my job with very little sleep. Since I was like 'whoops, 4 in the morning >> should get some rest now' and as soon as I tried the mice started scratching, Dad hit that period of sleep where he snores like a snowblower, and my overactive imagination and picture perfect memory summoned up scenes from Practical Magic. Why my mind did that I don't know, but that movie scares the CRAP out of me. Or, more accurately, the scene where the Aunt's get drunk and sorta possessed that haunts me scares me. >>
So yeah, I got a about an hour of uninterrupted sleep, and around two hours of dozing, tops.
I did get a nap in during Barney.
So yeah, came to the job, had the kids show me their new toys. Then I brought out Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and realized that apparently there was more swearing in it then I remembered. >_< Raphael you have such a potty mouth! Or just a habit of shouting 'DAMN!' frequently. There were a lot of 80's pop references that the boys didn't get, and they didn't really understand the whole April bit, but they liked the movie. Mostly, the bad guys and the good guys. Andrew put on his Batman outfit with little arm spikes to be 'Shredder' and John was Raphael, though he kept calling him 'the red one'. God knows I couldn't keep their names straight when I was their age though. Then it was playtime, aka Wrestling with Miss Kate, and some Channel 25 shows (hence my nap during Barney) and then in with Over the Hedge. Followed by Jungle Book 2. They're playing with toys in the TV room, and not much interested in playing with me today.
Which is good, cause I grumpy. >_< And cold. What I hate is families that have to take their shoes off. I mean, I don't mind, but my feet get COLD. ~grumble~ Their dog is also being generally annoying. >> Okay, so I'm keeping her in her area, and she can hear the boys playing, but I don't want to deal with 2 kids and a dog, even if she's old. She keeps whining to go out, and then barking at everyone, and then whining when she's back in. I let her out of her area and wander away to deal with teh kids and she goes and eats the sandwiches the kids didn't eat. >_____< And she's way too big and STUBBORN to get back in her area. D<
And now it's Shark Boy and Lava Girl. I'd worry about the amount of TV if they weren't playing while watching.
