Dan had been sitting at a News Café, watching streaming tickets of reports from around the galaxy, when he heard it. He was off ship because being on ship and trying to help Muromachi-senpai was never a good idea. Only Akutsu or Higashikata-san were allowed. Akutsu because Muromachi was scared, Higashikata because he was actually helpful. Dan couldn't tell a spanner from a spark plug, so he got shipped off.
Akutsu Jin, known smuggler and agitator, was arrested in the Blue Bar region of Rikkai's moon base today.
Dan was up and out of his seat at the word 'arrested' his Galactic Orange Orangutan Smoothie tipping over and dripping across the table.
Known accomplices are…
Dan was out the clear plastic doors of the café, barely waiting for them to open before he rushed past. Akutsu was in trouble! Dan had to save him! And maybe once Dan saved him, he'd get a kiss. That'd be nice. Or maybe more than a kiss…
Before thoughts like that could derail him Dan ran to the docking bay, only walking into a few walls when his oversized green head band fell off his forehead and covered his eyes. The hatch was down, which meant Minami must still be on board. That was good! Hopefully they'd know where Sengoku was. Or maybe they'd have cash on hand… or maybe the Higa people would be able to spring him! They had cool 'now you see us now you don't' psychic powers.
"Big trouble!" Dan shouted at the first person he ran into which was, unfortunately, Muromachi.

Muromachi was used to noise, the noise of Yamabuki's ship had been replaced with the noise of Rikkai's moon base, and Muromachi's repair shop was never silent. If something wasn't clanging, rattling, or hissing, then something was broken and Muromachi had better fix it. Muromachi's pocket orchestra played soothing jazz, loud enough so he could hear it, but soft enough so that if any of his babies beeped, hissed, or sparked, he'd be able to hear it. When he lost his sight Muromachi'd gained superior hearing, and the ability to *feel* when there was something wrong with machines. He'd been a good mechanic before, but he was even better now.
Of course, he couldn't stand to be in space, especially with the threat of another attack of cosmic rays taking more than just his eyesight.
The quick thuds of Dan's feet announced him before even his mouth could, and so Muromachi only flinched a little when Dan announced his arrival with "BIG TROUBLE!"
"What is it?" Muromachi asked, his fingers deep in the intestines of a computer panel. He was dealing with the mess Yamabuki had made of their communication circuits since the last time Muromachi had seen them. He wouldn't be surprised if Sengoku had been allowed to touch these, considering how they felt half charred and definitely wonky. Either that or Yamabuki was engaging in firefights. Those would fry communication circuits faster than a virus.
"Ah-uh-ah." Dan stammered, taking a few rattling steps back. "Akutsu's been arrested! I have to go tell Minami!"
"He's not on board." Muromachi ducked under the panel, replacing a few things. He could feel… ah. There. "Higashikata's somewhere though. And that new guy… Kite or whatever."
Kite made Muromachi uneasy. He didn't like that since the last time he'd been on board the crew had doubled. Muromachi'd known about Akutsu's relationship with Chinen for ages, but this Kite guy felt like a dominant personality, maybe strong enough to compete with Akutsu even. Poor Minami must be feeling over ru-
To the cargo ship Yamabuki. Your pilot is in our custody. Please come pick him up.
"It's fixed now." Muromachi said, but Dan was already pelting down the corridor. Muromachi shrugged and set about closing up the console. The last thing he needed was his work being ruined by someone tripping over it.
